Angels of War (Classroom Version)

Offers a view about World War II from the perspective of the people of New Guinea, innocent victims of a war which encompassed them. Intersperses newsreel footage, propaganda films, and feature films from Japan, Australia, and the U.S. with firsthand stories from the Papuans of New Guinea about their experiences with the invading forces. Portrays the anger felt by many of the natives at not being compensated for their efforts in the war and against the harsh treatment they received from all of the occupying forces.
