Amiga - The Music Studio - Quick Sound Synthesis Demo

This is a very brief demo of the lo-res additive synthesizer built into the Amiga version of Activision's The Music Studio. With my current WinUAE setup, the sound is muted when you're grabbing video, so I was flying blind on this one! Basically, you had 7 partials which you could assign a harmonic to (up to 31) or a "noise" waveshape that was really just a buzzy sound. Then you could shape the envelope of each partial individually over several stages, and loop (aka "sustain") the envelope stages if you wanted. you could also add vibrato and/or tremolo. There were lots of clicky/glitchy artifacts inherent to the sound, but nonetheless it was cool to design your own sounds, save them as presets, and combine them into multitimbral arrangements (15 different timbres per song, four notes maximum at any given time).
