Demonstrates the way in which man has and continues to damage the balance of nature, specifically in North America, where the praire DOG, hawk, ferret ,tortoise, sea otter , pelican, and abalone are among endangered species. Suggests safe, natural protected environments for endangered species and points out that of the 250 species that have vanished from the face of the earth since the birth of Christ, 166 of these have become extinct in the 20th Century. Narrated by Rod McKuen and directed by David H. Vowell.
