American time capsule

Originally shown on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, United States' history from the Revolutionary War through 1968 (president Nixon) is relayed through quick and rhythmic editing of paintings and photographs of historical events and personages. However, the history presented was selected to match Sandy Nelson's militaristic drum soundtrack, "Beat That Drum": only images of America at war, destroying indigenous peoples, and American men in power are represented.
