With the War for Independence over, there was a need to hammer out a constitution that would unite and provide a framework for governing the Philadelphia to govern the colonies. In 1787, fifty-two percent of the colonists met at Independence Hall in Philadelphia to frame the Constitution. The secret debates involving Hamilton, Mason and Madison are described as well as the contributions these three made to the final formation and adoption of the Constitution.
