Description: A Teaching Film Custodians abridged classroom version of a Cavalcade of America televison series episode, first aired on October 15th, 1952 on the NBC network. A historical drama about Lydia Darragh, a young Quaker widow in Philadelphia, who eavesdropped on British officers meeting in her home, obtaining vital information which prepared General Washington and the Continental Army to repulse a surprise attack at Whitemarsh Township, PA by the British in December, 1777.
