Albany whaling

Recounts the history of whaling on Australia’s West Coast with rare footage from early twentieth century to the last whale to be taken by the Cheynes Beach company. Includes scenes of harpooning with the grenade-head gun and the confrontation of Dr Jim Cairns’ Greenpeace Group and Albany citizens who felt that closure would endanger their homes and livings.
