They observe the bees gathering nectar from the flowers and returning with it to the hive, where it is made into honey and stored in wax cells. Gary demonstrates the process of collecting honey from the hives and the use of an extractor where the honey is forced from the cells. After straining, the honey is placed in glass jars for delivery to the market, and the children are each given a jar of honey to take home.
