Complete Record: Instructional film that aims to put the ethic of consumption into a human perspective. The first part of the film looks at the sun - source of all life. In our lifetime we may be able to control fusion, and so command the very power that makes the sun glow - ultimate energy. The second part looks at what we have accomplished with our presnent energy capabilities. In 30 years we havbe used more energy than all of the generations before us - creating great cities and luxuries people never dreamed possible. But we have also created a throw-away society where virtually nothing of value endures. Waste has become our most important product. The third part suggests that there is an alternative to wasting ourselves and our planet. We can choose to create values that endure - a sense of wonder and respect for ourselves and all other living things.
