A Study In Wet

Duration: 7

Year Published: 1964

Creator: Paramount Pictures

Format: 16mm

Description: Using a sound track entirely composed of dripping water sound effects, the film examines the visual and aural aspects of water in all its forms, from tiny ripples to great breakers. Marvelous surfing feats, water-ski jumping, and elaborately costumed divers flash rapidly by without narration. Ships are superimposed with rippling water that seems colored by the images it reflects, and an orange sunset casts a glow which makes the tides a dim hue.
