A Report on safety of life at sea = SOLAS

Description: Shows construction and testing of a new portable lifeboat radio, the “Solas” equipment, designed for transmission and reception of distress messages at sea by means of radio telephone and by automatic and manual radio telegraphy. The “Solas” (Safety of Life at Sea) equipment is demonstrated to be waterproof, capable of floating and able to withstand extremes of temperature.
