The story of a young married woman trying to make up her mind whether to leave her husband or her lover. Finding much the same satisfaction from each, she is in love with both of them, yet is unsure who is the father of her unborn child. Godard uses this plot to deride contemporary attitudes about sex and advances his story through techniques that foreshadow Le Gai Savoir -- title cards, billboards and jump cuts. (Does not circulate)
