Description: A dramatized biography of Charles Edward Ives, the maverick American composer. Born in 1874, Ives derived his musical vision from his environment and from his father's innovative musical experiments. Uses the composer's narration adapted from memos and taped reminiscences of family and friends. Shot on location at the Ives' family home in Danbury, Connecticut, Ives' classroom at Yale, the First Presbyterian Church of Bloomfield where he was organist and at his home and studio in Redding, Connecticut.
