1985 Part Two, Environmental Television Program

Metromedia Television presents “1985,” a 1970 film about the environmental crisis, projecting 15 years into the future from 1970, where the Earth is on the brink of destruction. A fictional news program in the vein of Orson Welles “Invasion of the Earth,” except the report is all based on scientific information from the time. Interesting to watch now as these problems still exist, and while the timeline of the film is off, it can be watched as a warning for tomorrow today. There is a cameo appearance of a young Maury Povich during this section of the film. This is a two-part program; the first part is available on this YouTube channel.
