Description: TV news segment that discusses the impact of the San Diego Coronado Bridge on the local community, highlighting anticipated changes in traffic and business. While some residents express excitement about the potential for economic growth, others are concerned about losing the island's charm. The dialogue reflects a tension between progress and nostalgia, emphasizing that change is inevitable and a part of modern life. Keywords San Diego, Coronado Bridge, traffic, community, business growth, nostalgia, change, economy, local residents, development This channel is not monetized. This is some raw 16mm Film Channel 10 TV News footage from a special program about the completion of the Coronado Bridge. The host is Jack White. I don't have the finished, edited program- only this raw footage. Segments of it have sound, but much of it is silent B-roll. I figured I'd share it, even in this state, as it's better than nothing! My found films are generally available for use in your video projects. For non-commercial use, I simply require a credit and a link back to the original video on my YouTube channel. For commercial use, we can discuss an appropriate licensing fee based on your budget. In either case, please email me at phix@optigan.com with your project proposal.

well I would expect that the the biggest change would come about that come will come about will be the number of people passing through car not the amount of traffic that will be generated by the bridge will be something that I think that the city should be giving a lot of thought to we will see such a change in this community it will be like Oh Miami I'm excited about it I think they it will be healthy for all of us well I think we've already had an indication of many of the changes that will come in that building that's going on now the cornado cave and the new building that's going to go in just south of the hotel I'm sure many people's read about the plans for down at the the ferry slip and I think this is just an indication of what's going to happen over here and I think it'll do a lot for Coronado itself it'll bring in a lot of business and the bridge cost is a lot compared to what the ferry was but I don't think this really means so much because Coronado is such a nice place to be and there's really a lot available I think be real nice look you're all my life so that could be a lot of changes I think well I think there'd be a lot more business coming to town I don't think any changes will come to Coronado except maybe the first time to take a right to their new Coronado Bridge but as far as business coming into Cornette I'm going to depend on my same clan tell that are living here in Coronado right now you don't think additional people will come in not necessarily no well it will be much like Miami I don't know but as you can see the traffic will increase and it would be good for the merchants and the economy as an individual I like our little island the way it is you in life there is a soul and with that soul there is a voice if the San Diego Coronado Bay Bridge had a voice it might have much to say in life there is a soul if the San Diego Coronado Bay Bridge had a voice it might have much to say the big change has occurred whether the people of Coronado or the residents of San Diego like it or not the link is complete Jack this bridge the San Diego Coronado Bay Bridge has brought the change people that's not right Jack this bridge the San Diego Coronado Bay Bridge has brought the change progress is impossible without change people who can't change their minds can't change anything in a moment you're going to see how the big change came about and why you somehow all of this is a and with all of that we have lost a slice of the past yes Jack you're right but we're not living in the past we're living in a changing world it's all part of the big change that's not right and with all of that we have lost a slice of the past yes Jack we're not living in the past we're living in a changing world someday the sentimentalist will weep when this bridge has changed it's all part of the big change and with all of that we have lost a slice you
