Contrasts such authors as Ernest Hemingway, John Dos Passos, Sherwood Anderson, John Steinbeck, Thomas Wolfe, F. Scott Fitzgerald, James T. Farrell, William Faulkner, and Nathaniel West who, no longer interested in Europe, drew upon the people of America for material in their novels.
