Anna ist schon fast erwachsen, hat einen großen Freundeskreis und kommt mit allem im Leben gut zurecht. Ulrike, ein paar Jahre jünger, ist ganz das Gegenteil. Sie lebt in einer Welt aus Wunschträumen, kann sich nirgends gut anpassen und Anna ist das Opfer ihrer unzähligen Phantasiemärchen. Alle, die bislang geglaubt haben, dass der Stummfilmstar Brigitte Helm ('Metropolis') nach langer Pause in diesem Kurzfilm ein letztes Mal vor der Kamera stand, muss ich leider enttäuschen. Brigitte Helm war 1977, als dieser Film gedreht wurde, bereits 69 Jahre alt. Die Darstellerin der Mutter ist zwar nur wenige Sekunden im Bild, dürfte aber wohl nur um die 40 Jahre alt gewesen sein. Möglicherweise lag hier einfach nur eine Verwechslung mit einer Namensvetterin vor, die aber von Wikipedia bis hin zu Buchautoren sehr viele auf eine falsche Spur gelockt hat. Anna and Ulrike are very different siblings. Anna is almost grown up, has a large circle of friends and gets on well with everything in life. Ulrike, a few years younger, is quite the opposite. She lives in a world of pipe dreams, can't fit in anywhere well and Anna is the victim of her countless fantasy fairy tales. I'm sorry to disappoint anyone who thought that silent film star Brigitte Helm ('Metropolis') was in front of the camera for the last time in this short film after a long break. Brigitte Helm was already 69 years old when this film was shot in 1977. Although the actress playing the mother is only in the picture for a few seconds, she was probably only around 40 years old. There may simply have been a mix-up with a namesake, but this has led many people, from Wikipedia to book authors, on the wrong track.
