16mm Film - Wie ein Känguruh kein Haustier wurde - Me And You Kangaroo - USA 1974
Buch und Regie: Bert Salzman
Kamera: Russell Boyd
Musik: Arlan Ober
Darsteller: Brett Way, Steve Dodd, John Latham, Cynthia Stirling, David Deham, Joey das Känguruh
Without narration, a young Australian boy accepts the responsibility and sacrifice that go hand-in-hand with love. When Robbie's father accidentally kills a kangaroo with their car, they adopt its baby and take it home. Although 'Joey' becomes an affectionate pet, it also becomes a nuisance, trampling flower beds, upsetting a local fruit stand, and breaking household lamps, etc. Joey is shot by a provoked fruit stand owner and, wounded, he escapes into the country. Finally found by Robbie, his father convinces him that he must let Joey go free. Heartbroken, Robbie takes a long last look at his pet.
