[Music] [Music] now [Music] [Music] what [Music] [Music] hey guys hey guys wait for me you okay my homework is that your speech parents hey like got stamp collection no you just want to start collecting lit get out of here sermon what do you think [Music] you need sure okay everybody please testing the rest of your papers on communication now today is thursday the parent night town assembly is monday at seven o'clock at night right after homeroom business everybody be ready by then the assembly is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate good speech habits remember people judge you on how you can get but i don't want anybody up there standing and going bad andrew you've been standing on your homework are you really ready to give a presentation on good communication for the talent assembly well why don't you get together with jennifer during lunch i think she might have some ideas for her but i really is that everybody else to go to canada would be some special thing they prepare and get a lot of reflect and look like a hero i'm gonna cancel something stupid and get laughed at and everybody's gonna think i'm an idiot that's why boy you're so friends no you see when you thought first about what you wanted to say you communicated perfectly great i'll just get up with this thing it'll be a real short speech have you made a wish list of what what's the point you're going to talk about organize your thoughts so you can be clear i don't have these thoughts to organize sure you do say all you have to do is list the things you want to say in your speech [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] okay go get it she [Music] choose the right word and organize your thoughts and most of all see it's no good i can't get up there [Applause] [Applause] is [Applause] [Applause] oh oh oh [Applause] downstation again you give the world's worst directions no you just have to think and then organize remember go ahead try it explain to me how to play what can you do first things first you move directly let's place your heart take your trip just like this and the point is to take all the other person's checklist before he takes you it's only when you get all the way over to the other side but you get kicked you see all you have to do is organize what you want to say clearly you need to think about what you really want to say um um what about mr blue bars do it what a spin i am talking loud that's perfect i couldn't understand the words you were saying that's right until now i know where you are pay attention to the people you're talking to that's how you can tell if they understand you or not and stop saying and um and um you sound like an idiot that's kind of what you do i'm only trying to help you who are not this whole thing is going to make me rescue it i'm not doing it everybody wants you to succeed they want to hear what you have to say because what you have to say is important you have to believe that you got me into this that stupid car yeah [Applause] and concentrate if you can make the challenges exactly to keep those two impostors just to say you're the earth and everything in it which is [Music] and now andrew mcgowan will speak to us on the importance of communication so i like [Music] i don't like you [Applause] this is [Applause] uh [Applause] a friend told me that the most important thing about speaking was to know that the people you are speaking to really do want to hear what you have to say and that what you have to say there is important here's other things i found out about speaking well first you have to think about what you want to say if your softball scrambled up then you can't say anything to anybody second organize what you're going to say make a list of the things you want to talk about first when you know what you're going to say and know the order you're going to say this you've got to choose exactly the right word yeah oh [Applause] boy [Applause] no they won't really say that but it's what they would say they'll like you and mostly you just have to always remember that if someone is rich needs you because they really want to hear what you have to say and i guess that's what i have to say [Music] [Music] [Music] says [Music] [Applause] you
