Familiar communication situations in the family are portrayed in five scenes: Arguments about cleaning up after a party, coming home late and keeping quiet about grades. We observe the framework conditions of each situation, the expressed and unspoken motives of the opposing parties and their ways of communicating on a linguistic and meta-linguistic level. The film does not keep its distance, but challenges viewers to compare their own experiences, to examine their own linguistic behavior and to develop it further.
