N. Der Stummfilm zeigt anhand einer Spielhandlung, wie die beiden Brüder Heiner und Kurt Vogel das Fotografieren, Entwickeln und Vergrößern lernen. Sie sind zwölf und zehn Jahre alt und dazu richtige Jungen, die 'fast die Kamera erfunden hätten'. Da der Film eine Handlung hat, bei der wir spielend lernen können, gehören noch weitere Figuren dazu: Vater und Mutter Vogel, die Eltern unserer Helden, der Fotohändler Heller, die Fotoreporterin Hilde Kuhnert, Theo, ein Nachbarjunge, und Hugo, das Wappentier der Familie Vogel, ein hölzerner, aber recht beweglicher Storch. The silent film uses a storyline to show how the two brothers Heiner and Kurt Vogel learn to take, develop and enlarge photographs. They are twelve and ten years old and real boys who 'almost invented the camera'. As the movie has a plot that allows us to learn through play, there are other characters involved: Father and Mother Vogel, the parents of our heroes, the photo dealer Heller, the photo reporter Hilde Kuhnert, Theo, a neighbor boy, and Hugo, the heraldic animal of the Vogel family, a wooden but quite agile stork.
