years ago yeah it's the last time I used to think that Grandpa was handsome he had a mustache what kind I was bushy I think I'm gonna grow up wishing mustache if I were you I'd wait a few years I can nonsense I haven't done half enough let's find the junior miss Department maybe we can get you another pair of those bell bottom slacks like we got you this morning no no thank you Fashions changed so grandchildren again I'm sure okay we'll turn into plainly midnight tonight I guess I'd be feeling better about it just had one last rip roaring time today well I love the presents you're growing I tell you dinner's ready grandfather my goodness is it 6 30 already Mr French has a watch like that and it's not a stick well this is very old Buffy it has a picture in it yeah is that me at no it's not you but it could be it's your mother really I took it myself an old box camera she was just about your age what was she like I mean when she was little yeah he is just as sweet as she was pretty just like you you say nice things Grandpa [Music] did she ever have a dog like Mrs Beasley Boosie damn it Jody we do not eat until everyone is at the table but Mr French they're taking so long foreign she forgot about all the other boys I'm glad Were You There When my mom and dad got married that I was I gave her away she wore a beautiful white dress your grandmother made for her she used to look real beautiful she did it was a happy day in our lives for all of us do you miss my mother as much as we do [Music] foreign [Music] your mother made the best strawberry ice cream I ever tasted and that was before they had those fancy freezers strawberry ice cream is my favorite mine too mother used to tell me how she liked to go ice skating in the winter I told her how would you teach me how far Dirty Dancing so did your mother's I tell you what next time I come for a visit we'll all go ice skating oh we like that come back soon will you I sure will sorry to break this up but your kids got in the bed okay boy you should tell good stories Grandpa thank you thank you you've done a wonderful job with those kids bill I know you're the best we can when they needed me I wasn't around you were it's only right they should love you look I am I didn't want to go into a big goodbye scene with him you can tell him tomorrow after I've gone okay they're gonna miss you Ted I hope so you're gonna miss them how could I ever have let him grow up without me uh you've been busy working traveling all around you have time to think about it yeah it's a nice way of saying I've been selfish
