Der Film möchte von selbstverständlichen Beziehungen zwischen jungen Leuten in selbstverständlicher Weise erzählen: Marius ist in Catherine verliebt. Das missfällt seiner Clique. Die anderen beginnen das Verhältnis zu sabotieren, erst spielerisch und dann bösartig. Schließlich wird ein Plan geschmiedet, um mit Hilfe eines anderen Mädchens Marius von Catherine zu trennen. Aber das Unternehmen scheitert, weil 'die Neue ' nur zum Schein auf das Vorhaben eingeht.
