Er vermittelt Einblicke 1. in das Familienleben (ansatzweise auch in die Familienstrukturen) und die Erziehung innerhalb dieser Familie, 2. in die schulische Bildung am Beispiel des siebenjährigen Hassan in seiner Grundschulklasse, 3. in die Berufsausbildung am Beispiel des 14-jährigen Recep, der eine Lehre in einer kleinen Gießerei macht. Die Lehre erfolgt nach dem Prinzip: 'Wir zeigen es durch Machen'. The film shows in documentary form the daily routine of the nine-member Aydin family, who live in Alibeyköy, a suburb of Istanbul. It provides insights into 1. family life (and to some extent family structures) and the upbringing within this family, 2. school education using the example of seven-year-old Hassan in his primary school class, 3. vocational training using the example of 14-year-old Recep, who is doing an apprenticeship in a small foundry.
