A mischievous chimp comedy featuring 'Shorty', a trained chimp donning various costumes playing multiple 'career' roles. In this western spoof, Shorty must fight off a group of bandits. Shorty arrives at a western ranch and is told to round-up a gang of rustlers hiding in the hills. Saddling a burro, Shorty soon comes across the outlaws and rescues the stolen ranch payroll while the villains sleep. This Castle film of 1948 is an edited digest version of the Paramount short film 'Cowboy Shorty' of 1937.
